In my teens and early twenties, I loved nothing more than a festival. Cute outfits, a heap of glitter, awesome music and partying with your BFFs: what sums up British summer more eh? But the allure of sleeping in a muggy tent, playing portaloo roulette and dry shampoo hair washes and baby wipe showers has gradually worn off, and I’m most likely not going to make a Glasto appearance again unless someone puts me up in a very fancy wigwam. At the ripe old age of 29, I very much feel like I’ve been there and done that with festivals.
That is until I found out about FitFest. A new breed of festival to hit the scene, FitFest is all about (you guessed it) the fun of fitness. Jampacked with classes, demonstrations and talks from some of the country’s leading fitness, health and wellness experts, it’s the perfect spring festival for us fitness lovers. Based in Oxford, it promises to be a high-energy day that appeals to all areas of the fitness and wellbeing world. Fit foodie? Head to one of the cooking demos? Yoga queen? Get some zen in one of the yoga classes. HIIT mad like me? Well, there’s a tonne of those classes too. Oh, and there’s even going to be a sportswear runway show for us fit fashionistas. I’m so excited!
Better yet, it’s all held over one day so absolutely no slumming it. Now that’s my kind of festival…
FitFest Oxford is on 21st April 2018 at The Oxford Academy. If you want to join me at the festival get your tickets here and do let me know in the comments if you’re coming!
